Safe Manual Handling

For:

All persons whose normal work duties involve lifting and handling loads or objects, or repetitive movements and operations.

Objectives:

To raise awareness about the risk of back injury from the lifting and manual handling of loads, however "harmless" the operation may appear.
To enable participants to understand and practice the use of correct lifting and handling techniques.
To highlight the responsibility - including legal responsibility of all employees to act in a way which protects the health and safety of themselves and their colleagues.
